The Bob Ross Certified Ross Instructor (CRI®) Course
How Did This Journey Begin?
My journey to becoming a Bob Ross Certified Instructor started in 2018. I was in a rough patch and dealing with a toxic work environment. I started to have Bob Ross playing on YouTube at my desk during the workday. I soon became known as the “Bob Ross guy” and my mood began to shift. Hearing Bob’s soothing voice and the sound of the brushes on the canvas began to have an impact on me. I became calmer while at work. The stress was still swirling around me, but I had found my calm in the middle of the storm.
In 2019, Crystal, my awesome wife decided that for my birthday she would hire a Certified Ross Instructor (CRI®) so that I would have a chance to paint a Bob Ross painting. She found and booked a local CRI so that a few friends of mine and Crystal got a chance to experience the “Joy of Painting”. To say the class was life changing would be an understatement. For those four hours the world melted away and I was in a place where I was in control. There were no mistakes as anything and everything could be fixed. I was smiling the entire time and anticipating the next thing we would be doing during the class. I was also helping everyone when they were having issues with a part of the technique.
The experience was an absolute blast and Crystal told me that I should become a CRI. That night she did some research and booked my dates for my CRI certification later that year.

Art As Therapy
Since becoming certified, I have conducted classes for military members where I have been stationed at, Maryland and Alabama. Giving the Joy of Painting and a few hours of calm to veterans has been thoroughly rewarding.
Realizing that what I am doing is an amazing form of art therapy that can help so many suffering with anxiety, depression, PTSD, pain, fear and stress.

"I absolutely love notebooks and journals. The details on this cover and the pages are fantastic. I was surprised to open the book and each page has details as well. You really can’t find many notebooks with this kind of small details anymore. This artist really took their time to learn the Bob Ross methodology and truly excelled in this product. Do not hesitate on this purchase you will not regret it." "I bought this as a Christmas gift for my daughter. I should have ordered more than 1. So gorgeous!" |
"ADHDers collect journals! This made me very happy. Full serotonin and dopamine pleasure. Great size. Big enough for good notes, small enough to fit comfortably in my bag. A pretty cover. I like the lined pages" "Fantastic artist. Journal is perfect. I will be using everyday. I will be purchasing another. Looking forward to a daily planner and more works of art" |
